There’s great power to be had using forearms and elbows, and as we all know, with great power comes great responsibility: the risk of unintended damage is greater too. But used in the right place on the right person at the right time… it can be a really good tool.

So on April 14, come to Rough Crowd to talk and learn about forearms and elbows – the forearm smash, the quiet crusher, the pressure point tickler… I could go on all day. Let’s see how we can incorporate these high torque moves and make sure we don’t break our most precious of toys in the process.

Bringing your own play partner is always awesome, but not required; while couples and groupings are always encouraged to come together (hey, isn’t that always nice?), it’s not a requirement to have a partner to come to Rough Crowd.

All genders, ages, experience levels, races, shoe sizes, sexual orientations and preferences, religions, pet preferences, fitness levels, tax brackets, partnership status, poly, D/s, M/s, height, eye color, and pizza topping choices are welcome (even all veggie pizza, if that’s your thing; your pizza is not my pizza, and that’s OK).

If you’re into rough body play, or if you think this sounds interesting, then yes, it *is* for you. Come to Rough Crowd for overview, instruction, and practice time. Safety and technique will be first, and then ideas and practice time. No experience necessary; you’ll have some by the time you leave.

A Special Note From Roughinamorato

Update: I’m really heartened by all this – I’m getting re-messaging an re-tweeting from all kinds of places and people I’ve never even heard of until now. Thank you, all. Keep going!

I don’t usually post things here about my travels to go teach and present in other places, unless it’s something really special or I need a hand. And this one is both!

Next week, on March 7-9 (yes, that’s Thursday through Saturday) I’m going to be heading out to Seattle to teach at the CSPC, the Center for Sex Positive Culture. I’ve heard so many awesome things about them over the years – and about Seattle itself – and I’m really excited to be able to go teach there.

But here’s the thing: I need to get the word out. My social network is good in the Midwest, and not bad on the East Coast. On the West Coast I have some quality connections, but only a few. I want to sell these classes out, both to be awesome for the CSPC, and to make sure I earn my airfare back!

If you’re inclined, here’s how you can help: spread the word. If you have friends in the Seattle/Tacoma area, tell them about these classes (Thurs is a little more intro-level, if that’s their speed). Rough

Last July we did Breath Play, and it was our biggest-attended Rough Crowd yet. So we’re going to do it again, with more notice this time, and get everyone who said they were bummed they couldn’t come last time!

Also note that this is the first Sunday in March, not the second.

Sometimes when you’re doing rough body play, and someone starts getting all rowdy (or horny) you just need to choke someone out.

Breath play, like so much of rough body play, is very primal and animalistic; the need to breathe is core to life, and tapping into that fear can lead to all sorts of fun! It can be disorienting, terrifying, fuzzy-floating… for some people it brings on heightened sensation and submission. For others, it brings an incredible sense of intimacy, focus, and connection.

We’ll talk about several methods, risks and ways to mitigate them, and some techniques to help you find the way that works best on you or your partner.

Due to the nature of breath play, bringing your own play partner is highly encouraged for this workshop.
